FAQs
What are 'Baddatives'?
At Superdose, we carefully select our ingredients for their potency, safety and quality. To keep our supplements as clean as possible, we avoid using these (potentially) harmful ‘badditives’:
- Alcohol, sugar and soy
- Artificial colours, flavours and preservatives
- Gluten and dairy
- Potassium sorbate
- Fillers
What is bioavailability?
Bioavailability is simply how well your body absorbs and uses a nutrient. Many traditional supplements are largely broken down by the liver and excreted. This creates an additional load on the liver and kidneys and generates expensive urine! Liposomal delivery is a game changer for drug and nutrient delivery, as the active ingredients, encased in a liposome, are protected from the body's harsh digestive processes.
At Superdose, we use highly bioavailable active ingredients and encase them in significantly smaller liposomes to maximize absorption.
How do I store my Superdose?
Our naturally preserved, premium supplements will last for at least 6 months if kept in a cool environment. This shelf life can be extended to 12 months by refrigerating on arrival. Once opened, please refrigerate to ensure the premium quality and potency is maintained and use within 90 days.
Can I take Vitamin C and Glutathione together?
Each of our supplements has a unique set of benefits, whilst also sharing some similarities.
Vitamin C and Glutathione, both powerful antioxidants, have a synergistic relationship in the body. Research shows taking 500mg of Vitamin C daily can improve blood Glutathione levels (Vitamin C elevates red blood cell glutathione in healthy adults - PubMed (nih.gov)), whereas Glutathione recycles Vitamin C and E, both antioxidants, allowing the body to continuously fight free radicals.
Together, this dynamic duo support energy levels, immunity, skin appearance, detoxification and reduce oxidative stress in our body. Either take both supplements before breakfast or take your Vitamin C before breakfast and Glutathione before dinner.
Is there an ideal time of day to take my supplements?
Some supplements are best taken at certain times of the day. Many people find Vitamin C is best taken earlier in the day as it can boost energy levels. Glutathione may provide a marginal benefit if taken in the evening, as our body naturally utilises Glutathione overnight to recover from the stressors of the day. If multiple doses of either supplement are needed, it may be beneficial to spread them throughout the day, rather than take additional doses together.
More importantly, your supplement schedule needs to fit conveniently into your daily routine so that you get into the habit of taking them regularly.
